In this chapter we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
Ice-Tech Brake fading after prolonged, uninterrupted use, for example when going downhill, affects braking performance. Shimano has introduced brake discs and brake pads with Ice-Tech technology to create a cooling technology for consistently high braking performance. The brake disc has a three-layer stainless steel sandwich structure around an aluminum core. It radiates heat better and reduces, for example, a surface temperature from 400 ° C to 300 ° C. The brake pads also have cooling fins. The construction of the disc in connection with the cooling fins results in a longer service life of the pad, less braking noise, less fading and lower weight.
