KMC

In 1977 the founder Charles Wu manufactured his first bicycle chain.

In 1986 the company KMC started a cooperation with the japanese company Shimano which is known for its high quality bicylce components.

In 1996 the KMC Chain Europe BV was founded in order to increase the service performance to european customers. KMC is currently based in Heerenveen, Netherlands.

In the 90's KMC developed to one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers in the world. Currently KMC sells about 200.000.000 meters of chain material per year and menawhile KMC products are exported in over 130 countries.
