Basic concept

The outfit system development from GORE BIKE WEAR® is derived from the integration of two basic concepts. The Head-To-Toe concept and the Skin-To-Shell concept. The Head-to-Toe concept cares for protecting the body parts that play a special role in the sweat production, the heat loss or in extreme variations in temperature. The spirit and purpose of the Skin-To-Shell concept also known as „Layering-Principle“ is to create a comfortable micro climate because of perfectly matched layers. This supports the body in different physical activities at changing weather conditions in the natural regulation of the body temperature so that the health and the driving fun don't fall by the wayside. Furthermore with the help of a selective range of the materials they look out for a light weight, a small packability as well as a high comfort of the single products.

Head-To-Toe
Perfectly equipped from head to toe. The head is a critical body area because heat loss and sweat production on the head strongly vary depending on the level of activity.

Skin-To-Shell
The first layer conduces to the regulation of the heat loss and the evacuation of moisture on the skin. This layer keeps you dry and therefore also warm.
The middle layer saves air in the inside and keeps you warm. The first and the middle layer regulate the heat loss togehter with the body's own temperature regulation.
The outer layer conduces to the weather protection. The breathable functional fabrics protect the micro climate of the underlying layers against rain, snow and wind.
