Würth

Würth was founded by Adolf Würth (1909-1954) for the purpose of the trading with screws. After the death of Adolf Würth in 1954 his son Reinhold Würth took over the company at the age of 19 together with his mother Alma Würth.

Since then the company develops to a worldwide leading business group with the major business area distribution of fastening and assembly material as well as tool with circa 120.000 different products. To its over 3 million customers count mainly businesses from the building trade, the wood and metal working trade, car businesses as well as increasingly industry customers.

Reinhold Würth retired from the management in January 1994 and took over the presidency of the Würth advisory committee. In March 2006 he commited this function to his daughter Bettina Würth and ever since he is honorary chairman of the advisory committee and remains presidency of the foundation board of the Würth group.
