Continental TPU inner tube
The ContiTPU inner tube is the ideal tire for both on- and off-road use, offering a perfect combination of lightness and durability. The high-quality TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is processed in seven layers to ensure optimal airtightness and durability. The tubes remain undyed to maximize material quality and prevent pressure loss due to color-related surface defects. Each tube undergoes manual quality control after production.
This inner tube was specifically designed for cyclists seeking an optimal balance of rolling resistance, weight, and size. By minimizing weight and volume, the ContiTPU tube offers reliability that surpasses conventional butyl tubes. Both the tube and the valve are made from the same material, allowing for easy recycling.
The valve stem is slightly tapered at the base to ensure a better fit on the rim and minimize movement while riding. The valve stem also features an internal thread, allowing the use of valve extenders or replacement valve cores.
Safety instructions:
TPU hoses must not be used on rim brakes, as strong heat generation can lead to sudden pressure loss.
A suitable rim tape is required to protect the TPU tube from damage.
