Vectran - the reference in puncture protection
Vectran ™ is a synthetically produced high-tech fiber based on a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran ™ is a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran ™ is spun from the molten liquid polymer Vectra and processed into a multi-fiber yarn. Spider silk as well as Vectran ™ are extremely tear-resistant and extremely lightweight. Exactly the right properties to be used as a puncture protection insert in a top Continental tire. A Vectran ™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. The Vectran ™ Breaker does not affect the rolling resistance.
E50 - E-bike capable
For e-bike tires, Continental can draw on over 100 years of experience in moped and motorcycle tires. All city / trekking tires reach at least the standard up to 25 km / h. The tires marked with E50 are also approved for S-Pedelecs. With their high-quality construction, they have a high level of puncture protection, low rolling resistance and protection against premature wear due to the additional driving force.
