The side-pull brakes of the Shimano ULTEGRA R8100 series impress with a clear contact feeling and an excellent balance of stiffness, weight and braking power. Despite the increased tire clearance for cross-sections up to 28mm, the design remains fascinatingly slim. The calipers are available with traditional and direct mount options.

SLR-EV
SLR-EV is a SLR with a symmetrical dual pivot side-pull brake. The short arm brake design uses two bearings and a roller to achieve greater efficiency in the joint area and provide superior dosage and power when braking. Together with the BC-9000 brake cable, the latest brake calipers offer 36% more braking power than the previous SHIMANO brake model. And we offer versions with a symmetrical 2-axis brake body as well as versions for fork mounting and chain stay mounting.
