Shimano XTR RD-M9100 rear derailleur 12 speed medium cage

The Shimano XTR RD-M9100 rear derailleurs, like the other components of the XTR M9100 series, are adapted to the respective application: Enduro/Trail, XC or Marathon. The new rear derailleurs are available in versions with a long or medium cage for use with a 1x or 2x drivetrain. All derailleurs feature an elegant yet aggressively angled design and attractive anodized aluminum finishes. Among other things, large guide and tension pulleys with 13 instead of 11 teeth ensure improved shifting performance. In addition, these also contribute to improving chain stabilization, as does the Shadow RD+ design with friction dampers.

• Less preload in the rear derailleur in the lower gears to avoid excessive chain tension in these gears

Shimano Shadow RD+
Less distraction due to quieter drive. Derailleur stabilizer reduces chain slap. Simple solution against the chain falling off. Lighter and more efficient than roller chain tensioners.
