Northwave Extreme XC GTX shoes

Northwave's Extreme XC GTX® shoes with their Duratherm Kelvin Gore-Tex® membrane combine excellent breathability with complete water and wind blocking. Technical equipment and maximum comfort in all weather conditions. Warm toes even in the most extreme weather conditions are guaranteed by the additional inner lining in the front part of the shoes.

The power is introduced via the XC12 carbon sole. Direct and effective, thanks to 100% carbon inserts in the pedal area and a 12.0 stiffness index (a unit of measurement that defines stiffness on a scale from 0 to 15). Strategically placed TPU inserts enable high slip resistance and high abrasion resistance.

The upper shoe has a patented, ultra-light XFrame® and an overlap construction made from the most innovative materials: It wraps the foot perfectly, avoids pressure points and transmits every watt of power loss-free to the drive train. Thanks to the latest technologies, Northwave was able to save 5% in the weight of the rubber protectors and still guarantee their abrasion resistance and unique 360° protection over the entire shoe. Easy adjustment and a consistent fit is ensured by the SLW2 twist lock system. As the only one of its kind, it ensures with its micro-step grid for millimeter-precise adjustment and adjustment of the shoe.

The new Easyfit Climaflex entry area combines the extreme flexibility of the Gore-Tex Rattler® membrane with the high thermal insulation made of neoprene and guarantees mobility as well as protection against the cold and wet. The ergonomic heel shape with its anatomical fit thanks to the latest thermoforming technology in conjunction with Northwave's Arctic 4-layer insole made of EVA + aluminum and EVA + Pile ensures excellent thermal insulation. The 360° reflective inserts ensure more safety in poor visibility.

SLW2 Closing System
The micrometric SLW2 (Speed Lace Winch) system with the innovative micro-step closure allows you to adjust the fit in a few moments intuitively and with the utmost precision. The side button offers a dual function: when pressed, it offers a gradual, micrometric release, while when fully lifted, the shoe opens completely.
