Assos Trail winter jacket

The new TRAIL Winter Softshell is an evolved version of the Spring/Fall Hoodie, the all-time favorite of many female cyclists. Thanks to the improved heat storage and the optimized protective functions, this jacket will become your faithful companion on all winter mountain trips. The main component of the jacket is its proven NEOS Medium. This three-layer softshell fabric has a sealed PU membrane, making it a highly active, water-repellent, heat-retaining and 100% windproof textile underneath which you are safely protected from icy winter air, rain and even snow. ASSOS has combined this winterproof shell with tailored panels of fabric from their new RX EVO+ on the upper arms, side panels, back and under-helmet hood to better wick away moisture and maintain breathability. This combination acts like armor, shielding you from the elements while still allowing airflow, keeping you warm and dry regardless of riding conditions and fluctuating performance phases.

After selecting the material, ASSOS took care of optimizing the details. The previous spring/autumn model of the jacket offered orientation, especially with regard to the hood in the style of a diving suit, which offers integrated neck protection when the zipper is closed to the top. The hood itself is specially designed to fit perfectly under your helmet and even has a slot for the klikThru strap, available exclusively from ASSOS. Unrestricted vision and maximum wearing comfort are a matter of course. Your elbows are wrapped in your wear-resistant dyneRope textile, and the cargoZip on the left side allows you to effortlessly reach the contents of your underlying back pockets. They have also incorporated a simple side pocket for smaller items on the right front of the jacket.

The trailFit jacket is tight-fitting and designed for trail bikes, but is also ideal for off-trail use. The 2-way zip lets you wear the jacket like a cape on the strenuous climb to the summit, or let air in from the top the traditional way.

• dyneRope: A densely woven textile with a tear-resistant fabric. This textile fiber is 15 times stronger than steel, blended with black polyethylene and thoughtfully placed to give high wear areas more durability and to protect you through and through
• klikThru: The wetsuit-style hood provides a clear view, is suitable for wearing under a helmet and has a slot through which the helmet strap can be pulled
• cargoZip: A zip on the side to access the contents of the back pockets
• 2-Way Zip: Easily adapt to prevailing conditions with the ability to unzip from the bottom for added breathability
• Extended Back: An extended back protects your lower back from spray and mud
