Another innovative safety and quality aspect from NC-17. The new NC-17 Sudpin IV S-Pro Flat Pedal is the next evolution of the classic and best-selling Sudpin III. In addition to doubling the load ratings, NC17 are presenting their new "FAIL SAFE" system for the first time with this pedal. The demands on the material have increased significantly, not least due to the increasingly tough conditions in MTB competitions, such as the "RedBull Rampage", in which the NC17 team riders take part every year. The "NC-17 FAIL SAFE" ensures that even under the most extreme stress, the pedal body cannot separate from the axle in the event of a malfunction. While it's unlikely that "FAIL SAFE" will be used, it's good to know it's there. More safety with the same weight. By redesigning the pedal body, NC17 were able to compensate for the installation and additional weight of the "FAIL SAFE" system. Thus, the Sudpin IV, like its predecessor Sudpin III, remains one of the lightest in this pedal category at only 360g.
