Robust like a DH handlebar and light like one from the XC sport, the Traverse SL 35 is Specialized new handlebar and uses its decades of experience with carbon fibers for precise control and exceptional comfort as well as a first-class ratio of weight and rigidity.

Handlebars have gotten wider in recent years, which has brought some interesting challenges with them. As the handlebars are wider, the leverage on the clamp has increased dramatically. The Traverse SL has a diameter of 35mm at the stem clamp. This increases the strength in this crucial zone and at the same time dissipates the clamping force over a larger surface. Safer clamping and a durable handlebar - those are good things.

Specialized many years of experience with carbon fibers allow you to ensure maximum strength of the clamping surface and then adjust the layup so that the handlebar ends are dampened, resulting in a more comfortable and less tiring ride. The Traverse SL 35 is strong enough to attack the toughest terrain, durable and comfortable enough to pound the trails day after day and light enough to make XC racers smile.
