The rear derailleur and front derailleur of the DEORE XT M8000 have undergone a complete overhaul. Of course, the DEORE XT M8000 rear derailleur comes with SHIMANO's optimized SHADOW+ technology and is also characterized by a flat angle of attack and an extremely flat profile. The XT rear derailleur can also write low shifting forces on the feature list as well as improved chain stabilization and precise but smooth shifting processes. The specially designed jockey wheels have been optimized even more for skewed chains and, with their larger teeth, also help to improve shifting performance. As with the XTR, the friction damper of the SHADOW+ mechanism has been provided with an adjustment option that allows the mechanism to be optimized for either maximum stability or minimum operating forces. The DEORE XT M8000 rear derailleur is Direct Mount compatible and available in the GS version (medium-length cage) for 1x and 2x systems and in the SGS version with a long cage for 3x setups.
