The brand-new Áspero-5 was designed for the top of the race – and is the most aerodynamic gravel bike ever built. Cervélo has always stood for aerodynamic excellence and has now transferred this 30-year experience to gravel racing.
The new bike is an impressive 37 watts faster than its predecessor – and 34 watts faster than its nearest competitor. With clearance for 45 mm wide tires, integrated downtube storage, and a threaded bottom bracket, the Áspero-5 is ready to race. It made its debut in the rainbow jersey with UCI Gravel World Champion Marianne Vos and is ridden by some of the world's best cyclists.
The new Áspero-5 is 66 grams lighter than its predecessor – despite offering significantly more surface area for improved aerodynamics.
With tires of equal width (e.g., 42 mm front and rear), the Áspero-5 offers stable, confidence-inspiring handling – perfect for the toughest tracks. For even greater aerodynamics and a more direct feel on less technical courses, the geometry has also been optimized for a 4 mm difference in tire width (e.g., 40 mm front, 44 mm rear).
First introduced on the P-Series triathlon bike, Cervélo has now integrated its industry-leading downtube storage solution into the Áspero-5. It is the lightest and most aerodynamically efficient system on the market – and stores a tube, tools, and a puncture repair kit directly in the frame, protected from wind and weather.
