In this chapter, we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
Shimano I-Spec EV
The new I-SPEC-EV construction makes it possible to mount SHIMANO shifters directly on the brake lever. This eliminates the need for a clamp and the adjustment range can be significantly increased. 14 mm are available with I-SPEC-EV for longitudinal adjustment and 60 ° for adjustment in the direction of rotation, so that each driver can make a setup that suits his individual anatomy or preferences.
Shimano RapidFire Plus
RAPIDFIRE PLUS is suitable for fast gear changes and allows drivers to downshift three gears in one go. RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifters are all equipped with 2WAY-RELEASE, which means that shifts are triggered by pulling the index finger or pressing the thumb. This shift lever can be mounted either on the inner or the outer side of the brake lever.
Shimano 2-Way Release
The RAPIDFIRE PLUS release shifter is commonly referred to as a trigger because it is operated like a pistol by pulling it towards the handle. The release lever of the RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifter can be operated in the same way, but offers the possibility to activate a triggering circuit by pressing with the thumb.
Shimano Multi Release
Earlier switching systems switched faster in one direction than the other. The choice between Top Normal and Low Normal always meant sacrificing one-way shifting speed. Now, with MULTI RELEASE, two gears can be switched in one go. The result - the fastest switching in both directions, regardless of the choice of derailleur.
Shimano instant release
The INSTANT RELEASE circuit replaces the familiar two-stage click and release circuitry. Once the lever is activated, the shift cable is released, resulting in the fastest possible gear changes. Whether it's an upshift with a top-standard rear derailleur or a downshift with a low-normal rear derailleur - a faster circuit is always a better circuit.
