Santa Cruz developed the Chameleon for free spirits who want to design their own bike and are not afraid to experiment. Whether 29er or MX, with or without gears - the interchangeable dropouts allow maximum versatility. With the low-slung top tube and progressive geometry, the bike handles confidently on any terrain. It chooses wild shortcuts through the city or escape from it. Thanks to the three mounting points on the down tube and the standard bottle holder in the frame, it mutates into an adventurer for long tours with an Allen key.
No matter what the conditions are, how long the ride takes and where it takes you, the Chameleon adapts.

The Chameleon reinvents itself and returns to its aluminum roots. It remains the simplistic and sturdy bike that is tough and versatile.
MX or 29''
The Chameleon can be set up as a 29er or as an MX bike. You have the choice between speed & traction or playful handling.
Single speed or gear shift
The adjustable dropouts transform the bike from a classic trail hardtail, to a single-speed racer, to a long-distance adventure. Or anything in between.
A beast of burden, not a donkey
With the 3-hole luggage mount on the down tube and the bottle holder in the frame, the Chameleon is ready for a quick escape from everyday life.

The low top tube and the slightly more aggressive geometry (65° steering angle, longer reach) deliver the best trail performance.
