Cervélo Aspero 5 GRX RX815 Di2
Allow us to introduce the Cervélo Áspero-5, the gravel bike with aero genes. The Áspero without the 5 is already an excellent, fast gravel bike, but the small addition of the 5 elevates the Áspero to new heights. Even lighter, even faster, and even a little bit better looking.
Faster, lighter, better – the high-end gravel bike Cervélo Áspero-5
The high-end version of the Áspero carbon gravel bike impresses with its electronic drivetrain and fully integrated cockpit with no visible cables, aerodynamically shaped tubes, and the proven, robust carbon wheels from Reserve. Reserve? Exactly – the in-house brand that also powers Santa Cruz's top models, offering superb stability and excellent quality. So, if you want to ride really fast on your gravel bike, don't want to carry around unnecessary weight, and still own a stylish racer with top-of-the-line components and excellent craftsmanship, the Cervélo Áspero-5 is exactly what you're looking for!
Features – Cervélo Áspero GRX Di2 Disc
The Áspero frame draws on extensive road racing knowledge and was engineered with World Championship stiffness for superior power transfer. It uses fewer and lighter materials to facilitate climbing and acceleration, while maximizing speed through aerodynamic shapes crucial for high-speed efficiency. Some might argue that aerodynamics doesn't matter on a gravel bike, but if you've ever battled a headwind on an open prairie, you'll appreciate the 32 grams of drag saved with the Áspero-5. Most gravel races are run without the advantages of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when you're riding with your face to the wind all day, it's nice to know your bike is taking some of the load off.
650b or 28"
Cervélo designed the bike to comfortably accommodate most 700x42 or 650x49 tire/wheel combinations. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing/tread depth—that will affect the final clearance. IMPORTANT NOTE: We always recommend a 4mm clearance around any tire/wheel combination fitted to the bike.
Two-position adjustment
The "trail" – that is, the front wheel's response to the rider's steering inputs – is the most important factor for handling at high speeds. The ability to adjust the trail with the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the extreme range of tire sizes ensures a consistent ride feel.
Balanced handling
Stiffness and handling combine to ensure predictable riding and immediate response to critical pedaling and support movements. The fork's Trail Mixer adjusts the trail to minimize the impact on handling when switching between the most common tire sizes.
Versatile comfort
Vibration-damping carbon seatpost, which we have already successfully used on the R5 and Caledonia-5, clever split spacers under the stem so you don't have to rewire your bike to adjust the fit, and our new flared handlebar.
