The Shimano FD-R7000 front derailleur utilizes the innovative linkage design first introduced with the Dura-Ace R9100, allowing for easier adjustment and fine-tuning without special tools. The new design better matches the hand's force curve to reduce effort at the end of the shift and also allows for more flexible cable routing. Both the front and rear derailleurs have been redesigned for use on disc brake-specific frames, incorporating a wider gear range without compromising shifting performance.
